Inktober 2021
This year, I wanted to challenge myself to create black and white motion graphics in lieu of traditional ink drawings for Inktober. This allowed me to focus on motion treatment, and it was fun to see my work become more ambitious as the challenge went on. I made everything myself in Illustrator (even recycling some of my old artwork), and used After Effects for animation.
The main goals and parameters of the project:
• Use primarily black and white.
• Create all artwork at 1200x1200 px to give uniformity.
• Spend less than 30 minutes each weekday (no weekends).
• Use looping animation.
I had a lot of fun animating Inktober this year, and I hope you enjoy my work! As a note, the prompts were created by my team at work as a fun way to involve our whole office.
